7 Ages of Man Cast
Next month our latest production, 7 Ages of Man, will hit the road. As well as commemorating Shakespeare we are also honouring the tradition of travelling bands of players as we tour the highways and byways of Cambridgeshire (between Colne and Pidley) performing for the entertainment of the good folk of those parishes. This will be a somewhat different venture for all of us. Think of it, if you will, as “BaCStage unplugged” or “pop-up theatre”. You could even say “we’ll be going on a journey”.
Each actor will be playing sev’ral parts in various ages, performing a range of scenes and sketches both bardy and contemporary, on the theme of “infant, schoolboy, lover, soldier, justice, pantaloon and old age”.
Nick | Nick’s contributions are usually rather wooden; he is our set designer and chief constructionist. This will be his first on-stage appearance since an alleged incident involving a gorilla suit many moons ago. |
Denise | As our resident stage manager Denise is more used to being behind the scenes. However, as we won’t have any scenes to be behind we will get to see Denise on-stage for once! |

And what about my debut as one of wishywashy’s chorus or Strong man one (Peter was No 2) in Sadie’s circus.

I’m going to use the “young person asked a history question on a quiz show” defence and say “that’s a bit before my time”. I don’t have any photos, although I believe the archaeologists excavating the Bronze Age site at Whittlesey uncovered some bog oak with stick figures on it that apparently depict the Strong Man scene.
Very good Luke but one little faux pas.. Jane directed ‘in need of care’ not Jess. Slip of the finger👆I’m sure…. Nicola

I only put these deliberate mistakes in to see who’s paying attention…
